Sonya started in November, 2005, with the 4-H Program in Boone, Nance and Merrick Counties. She grew up in Bartlett, NE, attending high school at Wheeler Central Public Schools. After graduating high school in 1995, she attended Northeast Community College in Norfolk and graduated in 1998 with an Associates Degree in Ag Transfer. She transferred to UN-L where she completed her Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Education. Sonya taught Agricultural Education at Osceola Public Schools from 2000-2004 where she served as Advisor to the FFA Chapter and assistant volleyball coach. She then became an Extension Assistant in Dakota and Thurston Counties before transferring to our counties. Sonya's hobbies include crafting, playing sports, being outdoors and collecting anything Americana.
